Teaching Sociology Through Students' Biographies: new pedagogies for the ‘oppressed’ or oppressive technologies of the self?

Date and Venue: The University of Nottingham, Thursday, September 24th, 10.30 - 3.00, at the Willougby Hall, University Park, Nottingham

The aim of the day: To debate and begin to develop a co-authored paper (s) on the potential benefits and drawbacks of drawing upon students' own biographies to enhance the learning and teaching of sociology in universities. 

A day to consult with potential users of the ESRC-funded ‘Pedagogic Quality and Inequality in Undergraduate Degrees’ Research Project, offered in collaboration with the Centre for Sociology, Anthropology and Politics (C-SAP), SRHE’s Student Experience Network and the BSA Researching Students Study Group.
